Daniel Kuhn, M.D., Medical Director of INPS

Dr. Daniel Kuhn is a Board Certified Psychiatrist who lives and practices in Manhattan, New York.  He is a graduate of the psychiatric residency of Montefiore Medical Center and of a psychiatric fellowship in Mount Sinai Hospital and Medical Center in New York.  He is currently affiliated with the psychiatric department of St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital Center as well as The Department of Neurology, Hospital for Joint Diseases, N.Y.U. He is also the current Vice President and founding member of The New York Academy of Traumatic Brain Injury.

Dr. Kuhn is the first psychiatrist in New York city to integrate Neurobiofeedback in his clinical practice and expands it to the field of education, academic excellence and peak performance.

Dr. Kuhn is also the developer of The De-conditioning Paradigm—The Kuhn Technique™, a creative and result-oriented treatment method and technique which addresses and resolves the problems, anxieties, dysfunction and needs of the high-skilled performer who operates under continuous and cumulative stress, while helping these performers to reach peak performance level and unblock their creativity and career.

Dr. Kuhn is the director of Integrative Neuropsychiatric Services of New York (INPS).  His neuropsychiatric practice specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of dissociative disorders, post traumatic stress disorder as well as assessing and treating Brain Dysfunction associated with Attention Deficit, Impaired Memory, Anxiety Disorder, Affective Disorder, Mild Head Injuries, and Dementia.  Dr. Kuhn specializes in Neurometric Topographic Brain Mapping, a neurophysiological test battery based on quantitative analysis of EEG (QEEG) and Evoked Potentials, which detect and assist in the diagnosis and treatment of brain dysfunctions associated with numerous neuropsychiatric disorders.

Dr. Kuhn is also a professional cellist who continues to play and perform with professional and amateur chamber music players.  His chamber music home concerts are well-known and are acknowledged as a contribution to the cultural life of New York City (read article).  For many years he has supported exceptionally talented and accomplished young musicians, and has provided an environment for artists to meet and collaborate with each other.

Dr. Kuhn is a consultant to the Supreme Court of New York State, Manhattan District.  He also engages in lecturing, teaching and supervising medical and mental health professionals.
